Fantastic! We love Burt Bacharach in so many ways that it's easy to forget the genius of these early A&M sides – but going back to them is always a treat, and it's wonderful to hear the way that Burt lays down his own work when given the chance! You know the tracks – "House Is Not A Home", "Bond Street", "Reach Out For Me", "Are You There", "Windows Of The World" – but you may not know the arrangements, which are superb – quite different than the more famous vocal versions you've probably heard ad infinitum, and recorded at a level that brings a whole new magic and majesty to 60s pop! An essential record for any fan of all things groovy – and an album of new pleasures each time we hear it! (Cover has some light wear.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

RCA, 1965. Very Good-
Great funky instrumentals – not really Latin, but given sort of a pop-Latin soul feel by the great Claus Ogerman! The record's one of a few totally great little gems that Ogerman cut for RCA during the mid 60s – and it takes the bass-heavy sound of the German Easy movement of the 60s, ... LP, Vinyl record album

Liberty, Late 50s. Very Good+
An undisputed classic in the exotica genre – and the record that yielded Martin Denny his biggest hit! The title track "Quiet Village" was originally written by Les Baxter, but it was Martin Denny's approach that really managed to send the tune over the top – using spare ... LP, Vinyl record album
TV's Greatest Detective Hits
Mercury, 1976. Very Good
Excellent work from Brit easy bandleader John Gregory – an assortment of 70s police and crime themes, played by a big band with a nice soundtrack-y finish! Nearly all the tunes are uptempo, and the feel of the record is very much in the same vein as Henry Mancini's Cop Show Themes album ... LP, Vinyl record album
