Pachanga In New York
CD (Item 604546) Gema/Disco Hit, Early 60s — Condition: New Copy
One of the liveliest Tito Puente albums of the early 60s – a smoking set of pachanga tracks, done with lead vocals from Rolando Laserie! The groove is upbeat and lively, with stronger timbales than you'd usually find in a record of this style – a great Puente touch that really helps give the album a great sort of punch! Horn parts are nice too – not the usual pachanga mode on some tracks, and with more of the Tito jazzy sparkle from the RCA years – on titles that include "Flores Negras", "Para La Quimbamba", "El Pchanguero", "Malguena", "El Manisero", "Que Me Digan Feo", and "Marta". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
