CD (Item 566274) Moserobie (Sweden), 2011 — Condition: New Copy
A tasty little title – and an even tastier little record – some mighty nice trio work from drummer Jonas Holgersson, cut in that perfect Moserobie blend of outside expression and inside swing! The group features Karl-Martin Almqvist on saxes, working with Holgersson's drums and Christian Sperin's bass – in a format that's relatively open and free, but which almost always manages to hang together with an inherent sense of rhythm and soul. The overall sound is perhaps a bit more unstructured than some other Moserobie records, but never too much so – and titles include "Yellow Duet", "Low 5", "Sweet Kiss", "Lagom", "Danish Steel", and "Third Party" – plus some solo drum tracks! © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
