CD (Item 599020) Tzadik, 2012 — Condition: New Copy

Terry Riley working in a really great old school mode here – playing only solo keyboard, stretched out in one longform improvisation over the space of two full CDs! The sound is wonderful – an very much in the best mode of the mystical, magical Riley music from the start of the 70s – that style that put a new sort of life and depth into minimalism – and connected it with other world traditions as well! The spacey brilliance holds us rapt throughout – and the record might well be billed as a sequel to Rainbow In Curved Air – given the sound!  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
