CD (Item 615805) Kritzerland, 1962 — Condition: New Copy

A beautifully dark score for Orson Welles' The Trial – penned by Jean Ledrut, heavy on strings, and with great influence from Albinoni's "Adagio In G Minor"! That piece begins the soundtrack, but played with some great cinematic dramatic inflections – then original music by Ledrut follows – sometimes a bit more dynamic, but often returning to the slow, brooding feel of Adagio. Yet there's also a few really great jazz-based moments too – using the Martial Solal Trio on two tracks, and some nice bass-heavy bits on a few others – almost a French jazz score feel on these handful of tracks. Titles include "Air Sentimental", "Sentimental Slow", "Ambiance Kafka", "Jazz Hallucination", and "Jazz Sur L'Adagio D'Albinoni" (Limited edition of 1000 copies.)  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
