The third album from Alice Cooper and perhaps the first great one – starting the 70s sleaze show win streak with the massive "I'm Eighteen" and an LP full of great, gritty and grimy rock and roll. Bob Ezrin's producing for the first time, and if the songs and the whole show isn't yet as menacingly theatrical as it would get to be in the following couple of years, the angry anthemic vibe is here and it's heavy! Other tracks include "Caught In A Dream", "Hallowed Be My Name", "Black Juju", "Is It My Body", "Second Coming", "Ballad Of Dwight Fry" and "Sun Arise".  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

The second album from the legendary Nick Drake – one of those records we could never ever live without – and a true piece of genius that's been turning on generations of listeners since Nick first recorded it back at the start of the 70s! The format is folksy, but the execution is ... LP, Vinyl record album

Poppy, 1970. New Copy Gatefold (reissue)
Way more than just the standard psych album of the time – and instead a richly-orchestrated album with sounds as complicated as the MC Escher cover image! Ron Frangipane and Brooks Arthur both helped out in the studio – and the set's got a clarity of vision that's way different than ... LP, Vinyl record album
Probe, 1969. New Copy (reissue)
Dark-edged psychedelia from Steve Morgen – a record that's awasy in hard drums, heavy guitar, and a really aggressive sort of sound! Incredible stuff – and one of Tim Buckley's greatest albums! The record's got a style that's a wonderful mix of folk and jazz – using acoustic guitar on most tracks, but also throwing in some vibes by a young David Friedman, which gives the record some warm chromatic hues. Buckley's ... LP, Vinyl record album

Warner, 1972. New Copy (reissue)
The seminal Gram Parsons solo debut, and arguably his most consistant post-Burritos album. GP is pretty much the record that put the country in country rock – with a sharp steel guitar cry throughout, an unpretentious proud/poor delivery, and those sweet harmonies with Emmylou Harris. Van Dyke Parks' masterpiece – and one of the hippest records to come out of LA in the 60s! The album's a strangely anachronistic one – steeped in the kind of past-days scoring found on early records by Harpers Bizarre and Randy Newman (both of which Parks had a hand in!), wrapped ... A mad mix of twangy goodness – some raw and raunchy tracks you'd be hard-pressed to find anywhere else – all sourced from rare records from around the globe, but linked together with a gritty groove that draws heavily on R&B! A second great anthology for "song poems" king Rodd Keith! The song poem racket, back in the day, was service in which amateur poets and song lyricists could send in there songs and poems to put to music for a fee. Keith instills an oddball charm, surprisingly rich musicianship and ... LP, Vinyl record album

Great rockabilly sounds from a tiny Texas label – an imprint so small it only pressed up 300 copies of each of its singles – and never reissued them at all!
