A deep deep look at the vocal group recordings of the legendary King label – one that goes even farther than any other set in the series! During the 50s and early 60s, King was quite possibly THE label for doo wop and vocal group R&B – a company whose range and quality of material often surpassed that of Chess and Atlantic, and which somehow often had a rawer, more personal quality – while still somehow making the groups come across with a tightness as well.
