Age Of Flying High (Japanese paper sleeve edition)
CD (Item 553023) Disques Dessinee (Japan), Mid 70s — Condition: New Copy
Killer soul from Franki Zhivago – a rare batch of Bahamian work from the early 70s, with a groove that's as soaring of The Beginning Of The End! The cover of the set proclaims a mix of soul, rock, reggay, and country – and while we can't hear the latter, we can definitely vouch for the former three genres – all nicely mixed up with these funky island rhythms underneath – soaring, leaping, and bouncing around with a great sense of groove that really makes the record cook – all with energy that's unlike anything you'd hear from a US soul record at the time! Titles include the massive break track "Someone Stole Your Love" – plus "Flying High", "All Around The World", "I'm Yours", "Unhappy Man", "Pretty Blue Eyes", and "My Eyes Adore You". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
