Andrew White plays on the New York scene of the mid 70s – and really seems to stretch out to match the setting! White's always had an ability to open up on a long solo when needed, but here he really seems to feel that energy – showing all those better-known players up north that he's been cooking up some incredible sounds down in DC – a mindblowing approach to longform soloing, played with energy that never seems to wane – supported by a great hometown group that features Donald Waters on piano, Steve Novosel on bass, and Bernard Sweetney on drums.
