One of a number groups that Norman Whitfield was working with during the late 70s – the most famous of which was Rose Royce, and perhaps the least famous of which was Nytro. The group's got a sound that's similar to Rose Royce, with a mix of male and female vocals, and a basic style that's mostly funky soul, but which sounds even better on the ballads. The album's got a great spacey electric ballad called "Dreaming", which could have been lifted off of one of the early albums by RR – and it's got a number of bass-heavy funk numbers like "Atmosphere", "Trick Bag", "What It Is", and "Atomic Funk". (Cover has a cutout notch and some wear.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Excellent work from this smooth Chicago vocal group! A masterpiece of funky soul – and one of the greatest albums of the early 70s!
