Motowns (LP sleeve edition)
CD (Item 597170) Cinevox/BTF (Italy), Late 60s — Condition: New Copy
With a name like Motowns, these guys have got to be great – and this classic album definitely lives up to that expectation! The Motowns are a British group working in Italy at the end of the 60s – steeped in the best London blend of rock and soul, but pushing things towards a slightly trippier style at times too – never too far out, but some nice psych elements that come into the music at points and push it past anything too obvious – almost that same sort of shift that English groups were going through as the beat group era came to an end – but with a slightly freakier feel that definitely belies their Italian setting. The album features help from soundtrack talents Franco Bixio and Franco Micalizzi – and vocals are all in English throughout. Ttles include "A Trip Around The World", "The Eagle", "My Sleeping Lady", "Move On Out", "I Want To Die", and "Wings Of A Bird". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
