Noah Howard Quartet In Concert
CD (Item 606548) Cadence, 1997 — Condition: New Copy
Noah Howard at his most soulful – working wonderfully here in a quartet setting with pianist Bobby Few, and hitting these longer spiritual lines that remind us of his best Parisian work of the 70s! The album's a rare later example of Howard at these heights of his powers – and Few's clearly a great partner for the setting – intertwined with Noah's alto in this really great way, with both of them soaring onto new heights! The group also features James Lewis on bass and Calyer Duncan on drums – both helping with the groove – and titles include "The Fugitive", "The Blessing", "Afro Blue", "We Remember John", and "Schizophrenic Blues". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
