Il Consigliori (with bonus tracks)
CD (Item 586608) Beat/Chris' Soundtrack Corner (Germany), 1973 — Condition: New Copy
A beautifully balanced Italian soundtrack from the 70s – not just the straight crime score you might expect, but a record that really fleshes things out with a lot of depth! True, some of the most compelling cuts are the funky ones you'd expect from such a film, but these are often offset by some warm melodies that really create a great sort of mood – kind of a rest between the musical action that's mighty nice – and which almost gives even more punch to the funky tracks when they do make an appearance! Riz Ortolani's one of the best of his generation, and he shows off all the skills learned in the 60s here – making for some nice complications at points, then skirting into some leaner, meaner modes at others. The package is done with all the best hallmarks of the Chris' Soundtrack Corner series – including detailed notes in English, and even some bonus tracks too! Titles include "Tomas Theme", "The Advisor", "Pupi Siciliani", "Sympathy Love", and "Kermesse Folklorista". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
