Love Song (Japanese paper sleeve edition)
CD (Item 603776) Trio/Clinck (Japan), 1978 — Condition: New Copy
A warm, sunny little set from Japanese vocalist Shun Sakai – singing here in English with some sweet Cali soul backings from HP Riot! Shun's got a voice that's a bit different than the usual American soul singers of the time – almost trained in jazz, but definitely turned towards funky ends on this record – given the setting – which really works well to unlock a whole new range of her talents! The album was only ever issued in Japan, and it's got a 70s jazzy vibe that's similar to some of the bigger-name Japanese/American fusion projects of the time. Titles include "So", "Smile Happy", "You Are So Beautiful", "Flying Easy", "Love Song", "Write Your Name", and "What A Pleasant Surprise". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
