Garage Blues From Connecticut
LP (Item 548278) Breakaway (Germany), 1969 — Condition: New Copy
They're not lying about the Garage Blues here – as the record has a very raw, earthy feel – not really blues, but the same sort of offbeat, tripped-out take on the genre's influence that was coming out of the East Village in the late 60s! There's plenty of vamping in the rhythms, but the guitar is often a lot more complicated, laidback, and at times, there's definitely a Velvet Underground influence – particularly in the Loaded years, given the low drone on the vocals. Titles include "Think Twice", "Sun Going Down", "Good Morning Little Schoolgirl", "Can't Keep From Cryin", "One More Mile", and a cover of "Get Out Of My Life Woman". (Limited to 500 copies. Includes a nice insert, too!) © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
