CD (Item 585914) Dial/Shout (UK), Mid 70s — Condition: New Copy

Incredible 70s southern soul and funky singles from the mighty Joe Tex – Singles A's & B's Vol 4 in the series from Shout UK – featuring great material Joe cut for the Dial label from 1972-1976! A few of these tracks are furiously funky – including the killer "King Thaddeus" – but there's some excellent southern soul balladry and slow cooking R&B hits, too. All-in-all, a pretty wide ranging set stylistically, anchored by Joe's powerful voice! Includes "Rain Go Away", "King Thaddeus", "Cat's Got Her Tongue", "I've Seen Enough", "Sassy Sexy Wiggle", "My Body Wants You", "Baby, It's Rainin'", "Love Shortage", "Mama Red", "I Mess Up Everything I Get My Hands On", ", "Trying To Win Your Love", "Woman Stealer" and more. 18 tracks in all.  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
