Jerk & Twine Time (180 gram mono pressing)
LP (Item 623636) Challenge/Sundazed, 1965 — Condition: New Copy
A raw 60s gem from The Knickerbockers – a set that has them stepping out with some of the same sharp edges as the early Kinks – no surprise, since they cover the group on the album's first two tracks! But apart from that Brit influence, they've also got plenty of American grooves too – including the jerk and twine references promised in the title – which come across with a lot more soul than you might expect! Titles include a great cover of "The Jerk", plus "The In Crowd", "Land Of 1000 Dances", "Jerk Town", "She's Not There", "Money", "Jolly Green Giant", and "You Really Got Me".
