Later work by Cab – but proof that he was always one heck of a singer, even at this later date. Arrangements are by Dick Jacobs, and the orchestra is directed by Henry Jerome – and the tone of the tracks is more sombre and straight ahead than some of Cab's earlier, madder work. Tracks are all bluesy standards – and titles include "Blues In The Night", "One For My Baby", "Cry Me A River", "Blue Prelude", "Blues My Naughty Sweetie Gave To Me", and "Learnin The Blues". (Blue label pressing with deep groove. Cover has light wearm, a spot of tape on the spine and WGN Library letters.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Inner City, 1977. Near Mint-
One of our favorite albums ever from Eddie Jefferson – one of the last sessions he ever recorded as a leader, and a stone cooker through and through! Dot, Late 60s. Very Good+
Although the Anita Kerr singers were not often the swinginest group in town, this LP has them doing a nice selection of Bacharach material, including "What's New Pussycat?", "Are You There (with Another Girl)", and "Windows of the World". LP, Vinyl record album
