German Funk Fieber Vol 1 – Infectious Rare Grooves & Krauty Schlager Wonders 1969 to 1977Various
LP (Item 469966) Show Up (Germany), Late 60s/1970s — Condition: New Copy
FFunky funky tunes from 1970s Germany – sound library material and ultra rare singles by German pop, easy listening, and jazzy groovers moonlighting in the funk sound – and hitting it! A few of the tracks head for the gritty, howling JB variety, but more roll with the fuller arrangements and pulpy cheer of the soundtracky funk groove. It includes some English language covers of funky soul hits, instrumental organ jams, percussion heavy horn funk, and more – a full funky palette – much of it never commercially available until now! Compiler Roman Kumutat does a fantastic job here, with a few notes on each track. We're already itching for Volume 2! 16 tracks in the LP: "Night Clipper" by Orchestra Gus Brendel, "Gang Bang" by Messengers, "Darly Alley" by Ken Aldin, "Gate One" by SWF Orchestra Rolf Hans-Mueller, "Tuesday" by Die Melon Men, "La Avispa" by Rainbow Orchestra, "Uptown" by Orchestra Heinz Kiessling, "Watermelon Man" by Dave Kamien Division, "Kleiner Mann" by Sandra Haas and more – plus the vinyl only track "Just Funky" by Klaus Weiss. © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
