LP (Item 609922) Bristol Archives (UK), Late 70s/Early 80s — Condition: New Copy

A deeper look at the Bristol roots and dub scene from the 80s – really pulling up some rare numbers for Volume 3 in the Bristol Reggae Explosion series – 7 of the 8 numbers in the vinyl version are previously unreleased! It's really strong stuff that carries inspiration from earlier years, never getting too slicked up with 80s production touches. It's got few tripped out dubs, though skews more towards the rootsy jams. We're hearing most for the first time ever, and it's nice stuff! Includes numbers by Revelation Rockers, Bunny Marrett, Talisman, Joshua Moses, Zion Band, Cool Runnings and others. Titles include "Jah Praises" by Revelation Rockers, "I'm Free" by Bunny Marrett, "Takin The Strain (Cave Mix)" by Talisman, "Stick It Up" by Joshua Moses, "Babylon Fire/Babylon Dub" by Zion Band, "Chant Down Bobby Rome" by Popsy Curious, "Pain (Dub)" by Alfred McIntosh and "Playhouse" by Cool Runnings.  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
