Chao Da Mangueira
CD (Item 604702) Tapecar/Discobertas (Brazil), 1976 — Condition: New Copy
There's a beautifully rootsy feel to this set from Xango Da Mangueira – mostly samba sounds, but with a slight touch of forro as well – all recorded with a really timeless feel that hardly belies the mid 70s date of the album! The album's a great example of the way that, even in the modern age, Brazilian music could always reach for its roots – bringing together both urban and rural sensibilities, and coming up with a blend so infectious, it still sounds great all these decades later! Titles include "Amaralina", "Porque Voce Nao Foi", "Catimbo", "E Cantador", "Isso Nao Sao Horas", and "Mineiro Mineiro". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
