LP (Item 634186) Bird (UK), 1982 — Condition: New Copy

A rare Japanese-only album from electronic musician Suzanne Ciani – originally issued in the early 80s, and composed on a host of instruments that no longer exist! The set's got a spare, ethereal sound – one that's arguably warmer than Ciani's more dramatic experiments from the start of the 70s, yet still much more striking than any of her later new age sides too – with an electronic vibe that's right up there with some of the best German or French soundtrack albums of this nature from the time – kind of post-Cluster, post-Tangerine Dream material – with shorter tunes and a great melodic focus! Most sounds come from Suzanne's keyboards, but the set features a bit of added instrumentation from time to time – although still in a way that's relatively spare overall. Titles include "Sirens", "Love In The Waves", "Wind In The Sea", "Sailing Away", "Water Lullaby", and "Birth Of Venus". (Limited to 600 copies!)  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
