LP (Item 38699) Reprise, 1970 — Condition: Used

One of Miriam Makeba's hippest albums – recorded with slightly funky arrangements that really give her a different sound! Miriam's vocals are still in the folksy mode of earlier albums – but there's some great backing arranged by George Butcher that adds in lots of bass, percussion, and horns that take Miriam into a hipper 70s Afro Soul mode. Titles include "Lumumba", "Kulala", "Tululu", "Down On the Corner", "In My Life", and a great cover of "For What It's Worth". (Original white label pressing.)  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
