Live At The Storyville In NYC 24th October 1977 (red colored vinyl)
LP (Item 614991) BB, 1977 — Condition: New Copy
A very hip live date from Sun Ra – recorded in that magical year of 1977, when the Arkestra seemed to hit a whole new level of expression and genius! The styles here are balanced between straight and out – really showing Ra's commitment to jazz tradition in some of the song choices, but also his overall sense of experimentation in the way the tunes are carried out! The group is large, with a nice sort of focus – and titles include "Lightning", "How Am I To Know", "Penthouse Serenade", "Lights", "Yeah Man", and "Images". (Limited to 500 copies & pressed on red vinyl.) © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
