The second LP, not as dope as Illmatic, but how could anyone hope to live up to those expectations? Nas is leaning a little too heavily on the Trakmasterz here, though they do come up with some nice beats, even if they are a bit on the commercial side. Dr Dre and Premier contribute a couple of nice tracks and the rest are provided by the QB contingent of Havoc from Mobb Deep and LES. Lyrically Nas is still on point, and gong back to this record, especially considering a few of the ones he's dropped since, it wears well with the test of time. Includes "Street Dreams", "If I Ruled The World", "Affirmative Action" and "Black Girl Lost", plus 10 more.  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

What can we say? This is the ultimate Miles Davis album – the one that includes so many songs that we've heard way too much in Starbucks, in retail stores, or at a friend's house who claims to be a "jazz expert", but is really a yuppie dilettante. Yet somehow, over all the years, ... CD
