E Menina – Serie Grandes Sucesso
CD (Item 604708) EMI (Brazil), 1973/1996 — Condition: New Copy
A nicely-focused collection of work from the legendary Joao Donato – a package that's heavy on tracks from his classic 1973 Quem E Quem LP, and his 1996 set recorded for the World Pacific label – plus a few other duets from the time! The core albums in the set work surprisingly well together – with a light breezy electric vibe that is still one of Joao's best styles of recording – a post-bossa mode that softens things up a bit, but also gives it a groove – a fluid, soulful style we totally love. If you've never heard Joao's sublime work – this set's a great chance to dip into his recordings – and the set features the tracks "Sambou Sambou", "Bananeira", "A Ra", "Cafe Com Pao", "Muita A Vontade", "Lugar Comum", "Cade Joel", "Terremoto", "Ate Quem Sabe", "E Menina Emorio", "Flor De Maracuja", and "Amazonas". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
