Pretty great work from Dengue Fever – a group who draw heavily from Cambodian sounds of the 60s and 70s, but manage to come up with a unique groove that's all their own! The album's quite possibly the group's best so far – a really bizarre blend of sounds that stands wonderfully alongside their Electric Cambodia compilation – so much so, you'll be hard pressed to believe that the music is contemporary! The guitar lines are great, the rhythms totally groovy, and the vocals have this weird otherworldly feel we totally love – and if that's not enough, the package also comes with a bonus DVD that features live performances and other bits too! Titles include "Sleepwalking Through The Mekong", "Master Tep Mary", "Tip My Canoe", "Mou Pei Na", "Psychologically Healing", "The Orphan", "Phnom Chisor Serenade", and "One Thousand Tears Of Tarantula". (DVD is NTSC coded.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.
