LP (Item 2827) Warner, Mid 60s — Condition: Used

Fantastic! We love this album – and it's not only one of our favorite records ever by Keating, but also an incredible batch of groovers that just doesn't quit! Johnny's working here in a highly rhythmic style that comes off without cliche or kitsch – one that's sophisticated, yet very much in the pocket – punching away at the tunes from track to track – and soaring the grooves with a style that dances with delight throughout! The set features great readings of "The Prank" and "Voce e Eu" – but the whole thing's delightful – a blend of jazz, easy, and 60s soundtrack scoring on tunes that include "This Year", "Invitation", "Mirage", and "Merry Merry Go Round". (White label promo. Cover has a promo sticker, a spot of tape with a rip on the spine, and WGN Library letters on the back.)  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
