Different Strokes
LP (Item 32492) RCA, 1972 — Condition: New Copy
One of the best albums of funky instrumentals by the legendary Nite Liters – and probably their hardest to find! The record's got loads of nice cuts that hit their classic funky groove in a way that brings to mind The Meters or The JBs – but which also has the Nite-Liter's own unique brand of tight party funk! Titles include "Funky Vamp", "Do The Granny", "Skimo's Theme", "Theme From Buck & The Preacher", and their cover of Quincy Jones' "Money Runner" from the film $, a real sample classic! Great stuff, and one that we hardly ever see on original wax! (PLEASE NOTE: Even though the back cover and the inner label lists 5 songs on side 1, there are actually only 4 ("Funky-Vamp" is missing).) © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
