Hard Times/Smash (part 2)
7-inch (Item 598026) Kay Dee, Early 70s — Condition: New Copy
Rare funky work from Damn Sam The Miracle Man – and material that wasn't on his legendary album, either! "Hard Times" is a wickedly sharp little groover – with drums that slam down right from the get-go, and brilliantly deep soul vocals from Sam – who belts it out with the depth of an Atlantic Soul master, but grooves with raw funky 45 energy underneath! "Smash" features even more amazing drums – blistering percussion that rolls right out at the start – clearly marking the cut as a great "part 2" version, with its massively funky jamming! There's no vocals at all on the cut – just drums drums drums – then some great guitar and organ bits too! Both tracks get a Kenny Dope edit, too. © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
