CD (Item 603526) High Note, 2012 — Condition: New Copy
Excellent work from trumpeter Wallace Roney – the kind of dark-toned music we first started loving in his early years! And in a way, the record's got the same soulful depth as Roney's initial sessions for Muse – a simple blend of instrumentation, but one that sparkles with a fresh feeling that's all its own – thanks to that strong ear for textures and soundshapes that have always made Wallace's trumpet unique! Antoine Roney is also at the helm on soprano and tenor sax – and in addition to keyboards from Aruan Ortiz, the set also features guest organ from Doug Carn on one track. Titles include "Pacific Express", "Dawn", "Plaza Real", "Utopia", "Home", and "Ghost Of Yesterday". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
