LP (Item 19436) Afrodisia (UK), 1976 -- Condition: Used

Truly fantastic stuff -- and one of the hardest Fela records to find! The record features a guest appearance by Sandra Akanke Isidore on vocals, but most of the singing's still done by Fela, and the band features Tony Allen on drums, plus the usual suspects. "Upside Down" is a monster groover with great rumbling sound -- and "Go Slow" is slightly mellower, but no less soulful and still pretty funky! Great stuff -- and one of Fela's high points of the 70s. (US pressing on London/Phase 4. Cover has a cut corner, light wear, and a crinkled corner.)  © 1996-2009, Dusty Groove America, Inc.
