A masterful balance of tone and timing from trombonist Steve Davis – exactly the kind of record that shows why he's one of our favorite players on his instrument! The album's got a great feel right from the start – that soaring sort of soul that Davis seems to inspire in others with both his playing and wonderful compositions – two of which begin the set. Mike DiRubbo joins Steve in the frontline – and the set also features David Bryant on piano, Dezron Douglas on bass, and Eric McPherson on drums – a great rhythm group for hitting the perfect Davis groove!
