One of the best records ever by Mandrill -- and a perfect balance between the looser jazzy spirituality of earlier albums, and the tighter (sometimes too tight) style of later ones. The band is incredibly tight on the funk tip -- with lots of hard drums and guitars, and other sweet instruments floating in and out of the mix. Includes the great cut "Fat City Strut", with a nice intro that's been sampled by Schooly D, plus the cuts "Mango Meat", "Afrikus Retrospectus", and "Aspiration Flame".
