Classic dancefloor electronics from Giorgio Moroder – and the "first electronic live to digital album", which must have cost a bundle to make! Giorgio is in prime electro disco mode here – spinning out long lines of catchy synthesizer tunes – in a way that takes Kraftwerk aesthetic and turns it towards the dancefloor, and also tops it off with some nice pop-styled vocals too! According to the notes, Giorgio's working with "music programmed as bursts of energy" – but to us, it's just plain groovy disco! Tracks are long, and titles include "I Wanna Rock You", "Baby Blue", "What A Night", "If You Weren't Afraid", and "In My Wildest Dreams". (Canadian pressing. Cover has some wear, a mark from sticker removal, and a small split on the bottom seam.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Casablanca, 1977. Very Good
By this point, George Clinton and the P-Funk team were on top of the world! The record is a masterful dose of slick mothership jamming – perfectly woven together with that tightly compressed style that really served Clinton's production work well. The tracks are long, but never too loopy ... LP, Vinyl record album

One For The Road
Casablanca, Mid 70s. Very Good
An excellent album of obscure mellow soul – very much in the same mode as Leroy Hutson or Ronnie McNeir's best work from the 70s! Like those singers, Greg was an artist who'd spent a lot of time writing and arranging for other artists – but on his own, on an album like this, he really ... LP, Vinyl record album

Casablanca, 1980. Very Good
Groovy female club tracks – with George Clinton producing, and funky horn arrangements by Fred Wesley and the usual crew. A bit more uptempo than regular P-Funk material, but with some nice moments, nonetheless. Tracks include "Wolf Tickets", "I'm Mo Be Hittin' It", ... LP, Vinyl record album

Casablanca, 1978. Very Good
The pleasure principle is in full effect here – a really special sort of feeling that strongly shows off the female side of the Parliament/Funkadelic mothership! The album's got a groove that's way different than most female disco of the time – more offbeat and angular, thanks to funky ... LP, Vinyl record album

Casablanca, 1976. Sealed
An oft-overlooked gem from Parliament – released during the year 1976, and sometimes hidden between monster LPs like Funkentelechy and Mothership Connection – but every bit as great as those two classics! The album's got that tightened-up P-Funk sound that was working so perfectly at ... LP, Vinyl record album

Love To Love You Baby
Casablanca, 1975. Very Good
One of the first great moments of the Munich disco scene of the 70s – an electric batch of soul served up in support of Donna Summer's landmark title hit! The set features the full 16 minute version of "Love To Love You Baby" – done as a monumental suite that dips, turns, ... LP, Vinyl record album

Off The Cuff
Enterprise, 1973. Very Good+
A great bit of funky guitar work from Freddie Robinson – a player who clearly started out with a bluesy backing, but managed a real super-dope sound by the time of his 70s work for Stax! Part of the sound is that Freddie's using a hollow-body electric – giving him a style that's a bit ... LP, Vinyl record album

Blue Magic
Atco, 1974. Very Good-
The start of a tremendous run from Blue Magic – easily one of the greatest harmony groups of the 70s, a quintet we'd place in a rare class with heavy hitters like The Stylistics or The Moments! The album's smooth and sweet, but never slick – perfectly arranged by the great Norman ... LP, Vinyl record album

Romantic Journey
Buddah, 1976. Very Good+
A warmly romantic journey from the stellar Norman Connors – but a set that's also got a fair bit of spiritual jazz undercurrents too! Norman's at that perfect Starship point in his career – giving equal space to the vocals and instrumental passages on the record – at a level that ... LP, Vinyl record album

Night Grooves
Fantasy, 1978. Very Good-
A great album of funky dancefloor tunes! Originally issued in 1978, and clearly for the New York dancefloor crowd – the record takes the earlier work of funk group The Blackbyrds, and remixes the tracks slightly to pump up the groove a bit for the dancers. While the approach might not sound ... LP, Vinyl record album
