Strange and incredible mid 70s atmospherics from Jean-Pierre Massiera – dark atmospherics that roll from heady psych rock to cerebral funk and proggy dynamics – taken to a far deeper dimension thanks to Massiera's hypnotic use of tape samples and layered vocal errata! It's amazing how much is going on here, especially given that the feverish hypnotic effects never lag – as wild and tripped out as it gets, the hold it has on your sensory processors never lags! Billed as a Gallic concept album, it may very well be that, but we can only speak for the visceral thrills – which it has, and many to spare! Includes 3 long pieces, "Frayeur", "Angiosse", and the 16 +minute "HIA".  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Finders Keepers/Cache Cache (UK), Mid 80s. New Copy
Beautiful work from X Ray Pop – a totally wonderful French group from the 80s, and one with the same mix of female vocals and spare electronics that would later surface more strongly with Stereolab! These guys are kind of a bridge between that group and the early 80s experiments of Brit ... LP, Vinyl record album

Tape Recorder & Synthesiser Ensemble
Finders Keepers (UK), Early 80s. New Copy 2LP
Never-heard sounds from this amazing UK duo – an early 80s outfit who went by the name of Tape Recorder & Synthesizer Ensemble – a very good choice, given the instrumentation on the set! Most of the music here is relatively spare, but surprisingly tuneful – kind of in a space ... LP, Vinyl record album

Finders Keepers, Late 60s. New Copy
Darkly beautiful sounds from the duo of Don & Stevie Gere – a husband and wife who work here with a style that's folksy, but a bit spooky too – possibly due to the fact that the music within was recorded in their California home, and never issued for years! There's a deeply ... LP, Vinyl record album

Finders Keepers/Cache Cache (UK), 1985. New Copy
Dark 80s electronics from X Ray Pop – a record that has all the freaky, fuzzy touches of some of the best work coming out of the North of England in the late 70s – but was recorded a few years later, and originally only issued as a limited edition cassette tape! That format is the only ... LP, Vinyl record album

Limonada
Sondor/Lion, 1970. New Copy (reissue)
An amazing little record from the free-thinking scene in Uruguay at the end of the 60s – a strange mix of styles, but a brilliant one too! Limonada only ever cut this one record, but it's a real masterpiece – a blend of 60s beat group instrumentation, candomble rhythms, and some of the ... LP, Vinyl record album

A stunning second album from Love – a set that's still without the fuller orchestrations and baroque touches of Forever Changes – but which already shows the group moving in that direction! Sleepless Nights (180 gram pressing)
A&M/Music On Vinyl (Netherlands), 1976. New Copy (reissue)
A gritty little gem in the Gram Parsons/Burritos catalog – mostly covers of classic honky tonk tunes! Episodes
Void, 1979. New Copy (reissue)
Rare psych folk sounds from the late 70s! Episodes is really cool blend of acoustic and electric sounds, with the vocals, acoustic guitar and bass all handled by Soutar – backed by lead, often buzzingly electric guitar by Mike Tedesco, flute by Elyse Clark, and backing vocals by both (we ...
