One of the greatest female soul albums of the 60s – an obscure session cut by singer Anna King, produced to perfection by James Brown! The sound here is very much in keeping with James' best work of the time – deep deep deep soul, with a solid grounding in the indie traditions of the time, and some ultra-tight backing by James and the rest of his famous group. Bobby Byrd joins Anna on a great tune called "Baby Baby Baby", and all other tracks are sung solo – in a mindblowing style that should have been enough to make Aretha give up singing forever!
