Fantastic funkiness! Although Les Baxter's best known for his easy listening work in the late 50s/early 60's, this 1969 biker flick soundtrack is a motherlode of funky funky tracks, and a veritable cornucopia of breakbeats! Highlights include the classics "Hogin' Machine" and "Hot Wind", but there's lots of other nice ones like "Soul Groove" and "Scoobee Doo". The drums are nice and hard, and there's plenty of fuzzy fuzzy guitar to go around nicely! A few tracks have vocals, but the instrumentals more than make up for any weak spots. Essential.  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

A killer 60s soundtrack! The score was written for a strange biker film that starred Marianne Faithfull and Alain Delon – and it's filled with lots of driving grooves, wailing organ lines, and jangly guitar parts. A rare non-soundtrack record from Goblin – but done in a style that's equally wonderful as their famous music for horror films! The set really shows the progressive roots from which they sprang – with a sound that's a bit fuller than some of their soundtrack work, and which also has ... LP, Vinyl record album

Record Makers/Death Waltz (UK), 1976. New Copy Gatefold (reissue)
A super-dope electronic classic – John Carpenter's original soundtrack for his 1976 film Assault On Precinct 13! The main theme of the film is tremendous – early, raw electronic drums and bass – all moving in a slow, spacey, heavy funk sort of style – with nice noisy ... LP, Vinyl record album
