Dave Brubeck Quartet Plays Music From West Side Story And . . .

An 80s collection of classic work by Dave's group with Paul Desmond – featuring 5 tunes from West Side Story, inlcuding "Tonight", "Somewhere", "Maria", and "I Feel Pretty", plus others from shows and standards. The group, as usual, really opens up the tunes – and Desmond's icily skating alto really makes the best of the material. Other titles include "What Is This Thing Called Love", "The Most Beautiful Girl In The World", and "Night & Day". (Columbia Jazz Masterpieces pressing.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.
