A pair of sweet 70s sets from French arranger Paul Mauriat – both of them lesser-known than his late 60s hits! Forever & Ever has a warm, lush sort of feel – still the nice soundtrack-styled approach that you'd know from Mauriat's famous 60s material, but scored with full strings and a mode that's almost 70s Euro erotic at points – although subtle, too – given the always-tasteful sounds we've come to expect from Paul! Titles include "Les Volets Clos", "Laisse Moi Vivre Ma Vie", "Forever & Ever", "Sleep Walk", "Brooklyn By The Sea", and "Contigo Mi Vida". Nous Irons A Verone follows with a similarly warm mode – lots of strings in the backings, but often a nice degree of leanness too – that focus that set Mauriat apart from other popular European instrumentalists, and made him part of the 60s generation that really helped strip things down.
