Very Best Of The Intruders – Playlist

Add Item to Want List
CD (Item 584292) Philadelphia International/Legacy, Late 60s/Early 70s — Condition: New Copy

A set featuring some of the best ever tracks The Intruders – with tracks from their stellar late 60s and early 70s efforts for Gamble Records, plus singles and more – simply a great batch of top notch, classic era Philly soul! The best tracks here really personify the best of the early Gamble & Huff production – some soulful strings adding the right kind of emotions-plucking beauty to rawer drums and those incredible harmony and lead vocals. Even later on in the 70s, after Gamble & Huff productions became grander and more thickly orchestrated, the rawer soul comes through with The Intruders, thanks the the deeply soulful singing. A great batch of songs! Includes "Together", "A Love That's Real (Mono Version)", "(We'll Be) United", "Me Tarzan, You Jane", "When We Get Married", "Sad Girl", "Friends No More", "Jack Be Nimble (Mono)", "I'll Always Love My Mama (12-inch Version)", "Slow Drag", "(Love Is Like A) Basketball Game)", "Energy Of Love" and more. (Enhanced CD.)  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
