A beautifully mellow soundtrack to this recent documentary about Orson Welles in Spain – performed mostly in a jazz-based way, but with a laidback quality that's very open and spacious! The group's a quartet – with Johan Soderberg on keyboards, Goran Kajfes on trumpet Johan Berthling on bass, and David Osterberg on sampler – the latter of which must bring in a lot of extra instruments, as we definitely hear some vibes on the album at points! The warmth of the acoustic bass does a great job of offsetting the slower, mellow lines of the keyboards – and Kajfes' trumpet blows with similarly atmospheric modes you'll know from some of his other projects, too.
