Des Jeunes Gens Modernes – Post Punk, Cold Wave, Et Culture En France 1978 to 1983Various
LP (Item 608915) Born Bad (France), Late 70s/Early 80s — Condition: New Copy
A great look at the under-heard French scene of the post-punk years – music that's not nearly as familiar to our ears as American, British, or even German work of the time! For some reason, most of the artists here never made it to our shores at the end of the 70s – yet their approach is often every bit as revolutionary as that of any of the English artists that frequently filled our record shopping and radio listening – with lots of offbeat rhythms, stark instrumentation, and creative lyrical presentation that really keeps things interesting! Titles include "Manekine" by Mathematiques Modernes, "Tokio Airport" by Metal Boys, "Essor Assure" by Visible, "Mots" by Ruth, "Elle Hotesse" by Tokow Boys, "Man Of Time" by Kas Product, "Can't You Take A Joke" by Henriette Coulouvrat, and "Exposition" by Charles De Goal. © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
