An excellent live set from Fela – one that shows that he was still very capable of going over the top during the 80s! The set's a double LP – and it features 4 great numbers by the group, with Fela on soprano sax, piano, and organ, and plenty of other great work on tenor, alto, and trumpet. Titles include "Gimme Shit I Give You Shit", "Custom Check Point", "Movement Of The People", and "Political Statement Number 1". (US pressing. Cover has a promo stamp and some wear.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Limelight, Late 60s. Very Good Gatefold
Set of Indian classical music recorded as part of Mercury's hip Limelight series from the late sixties. Recorded in India, and released in a cool psychedelic package with a wild tone poem on the inside. The musicians are not named. LP, Vinyl record album

The group is a very percussion-heavy one, with slight touches of jazz, and a very Afro-centric approach that is said to have "mixed appeal" in the liner notes. Wali plays conga and bongos, and does a bit of ... LP, Vinyl record album
