The 8th in the Make Do & Mend series of guest-compiled tracks from the Finders Keepers, B- family of labels – in support of independent labels that suffered losses in the PIAS warehouse fire of August 2011 – this one put together by Bob Stanley of St Etienne! It's hard to imagine anyone with ear for the diverse global sounds to be found on Finders Keepers releases doing wrong with the keys to empire – and Stanley, like all of the guests to date, does it proudly. He clearly loves the folk funk-flavored material tricked out with spacey bits of synth and other atmospherics – compiled songs by Sam Spence, Susan Christie, Selda, Lubos Fiser and others. Includes "Flying Low" by Sam Spence, "Rainy Day" by Susan Christie, "Forgiveness" by Lubos Fiser, "Gobaith" by Sidan, "Gol Bi Boldoon" by Googoosh, "Yaz Gazeteci Yaz" by Selda, "Egy Szot Se Szoli" by Sarolta Zalatnay, "Exedit - A Dragon With Two Heads" by Angelo Michajlov, "Can O Dristwch" by Heather Jones and "The Pendant/Little Mermaid" by Zdenek Liska.
