Giant Single – The Profile Records Rap AnthologyVarious
CD (Item 598229) Profile, 1980s/Early 90s — Condition: New Copy
The best old school to mid school rap compilation we've seen released by one the bigs in quite a while – a 2CD collection of classic Profile from the early 80s underground genius of Rammelzee Vs K-Robb up to the late decade pop takeover courtesy Run-DMC and into the 90s with Rob Base, Camp Lo and more – very nicely done! The tracklist progresses chronologically and very strongly represents the era(s), track by track. Great stuff by Disco Four, Dana Dane, Fresh 3 MCs, Run-DMC, King Sun, Special Ed, DJ Quik, Camp Lo and more. Includes "Genius Rap" by Dr Jeckyll & Mr Hyde, "Whip Rap", "Beat Bop" by Rammelzee Vs K-Rob, "Fresh" by Fresh 3 MCs, "Sucker MC's (Krush-Groove 1)" by Run-DMC, "Nightmares" by Dana Dane, "It's My Beat" by Sweet Tee & Jazzy Joyce, "I Got It Made" by Special Ed, "Hey Love" by King Sun, "Rock Dis Funky Joint" by Poor Righteous Teachers, "Born And Raised In Compton" by DJ Quik, "Zulu War Chant" by Afrika Bambaataa & Time Zone and more. 31 tracks on 2CDs – with a liner notes by Big Payback author Dan Charnas. © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
