Double LP set that brings together the complete recording sessions that went on to become Dolphy's legendary Iron Man and Conversations LPs from the mid 60's. Recorded under the guidance of producer Alan Douglas, Dolphy plays in a number of settings – from spare duets with Richard Davis, to larger groups that include Prince Lasha, Sonny Simmons, Clifford Jordan, and Bobby Hutcherson. The recordings are a seminal part of Dolphy's career, and represent the same sort of collaborative vibe that was present during his classic Out To Lunch session. Tracks include "Iron Man", "Alone Together", "Burning Spear", "Music Matador", and "Mandrake". (Cover has some wear.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.
