One of Quincy Jones' best soundtracks of the 70s – filled with some great slick electric funky crime tracks, perfectly played by LA jazzers that include Clare Fischer, Paul Humphrey, Arthur Adams, David T Walker, Milt Holland, and Jerome Richardson. A few cuts feature vocals by Little Richard – but the best tracks are the instrumental ones – like the classic sample cut "Snow Creatures", which has an amazing intro and a very dark mood. Other tracks include "Passin The Buck", "Rubber Ducky", "Money Is", "Do It Do It", and "Money Runner". (White label promo. Cover has light wear.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Unlimited!
Reprise, 1987. Near Mint-
The third solo album from Roger Troutman, and sadly just a mere glimmer of his finest moments on his own, or with Zapp. "Thrill Seekers" is the only track with that bottom heavy vocoded funk we expect from Roger, the rest is fairly commercial 80s pop soul. Also includes "I Want To ... LP, Vinyl record album
Heart Strings
Reprise, 1974. Very Good
Great stuff from Linda Lewis – one of the sweetest soul talents of the 70s! Linda's got a great jazzy vocal style that's somewhere between Minnie Riperton and other more folksy singers, like Ellen McIlwaine, and she's really got a knack for writing great little tracks that have a good groove ... So Much 2 Say
Reprise, 1990. Near Mint-
The second album by this gospel-cum-soul group – as great a batch of harmony tracks as you could hope to find at the end of the 80s! The group's strong sextet harmony style is almost as wonderful as on the first album – tocuhed with a bit of religion, but mostly in a positive, ... LP, Vinyl record album

Marc Hannibal
Philips, Late 60s. Very Good+
A lesser-known pop soul release from the late 60s, by this former member of the Harlem Globetrotters! Marc's not much of a singer – but he does have a deep voice that's a good fit for the arrangements on the album. Jimmy Bowen produced, and there's a lot of his sweetly swinging 60s pop ... A&M, 1976. Very Good+
One of the best albums ever by LTD – featuring some wonderful early vocals by Jeffery Osborne, and stellar production by the team of Larry and Fonce Mizell! The Mizell Brothers sound a lot different here than they do on their Blue Note work – more deeply soulful, with a sound that's ... LP, Vinyl record album
Once Upon A Jukebox
H&L, 1976. Very Good+
The Stylistics pay homage to some of the great vocal classics that came before them – in this set of smooth harmony soul arranged and conducted by Horace Ott. The band's vocals are still top-shelf at this point, even though the overall concept lacks some of the sublime quality of the earlier ... LP, Vinyl record album
Columbia, Mid 70s. Very Good+ Gatefold
Fantastic stuff through and through – and almost a "best of" best of collection from the 70s! The album's a key illustration of the genius of Earth Wind & Fire on Columbia Records – because by the time the set was released in 1978, most of the tracks were already well-know ... United Artists, Mid 60s. Very Good+
Groovy guitarist Al lays down a tasty set of 60s spy and cop themes – all with a Leroy Holmes production style that's similar to other pop soundtrack work on United Artists. The album features the original cut "The Bronze Doll", plus groovy theme music like "The Eye In Flat ... LP, Vinyl record album
