Hard Rock From The Middle East
CD (Item 485699) Columbia/Rev-Ola (UK), 1967 — Condition: New Copy
A really wild little album – and exactly what it says in the title: hard rock from the Middle East! The album takes eastern instrumentation on oud, bouzoki, tamboura, and accordion – and fuses it with some hard grooving bass, guitar, and drums – all hitting heavy late 60s acid-tinged modes, and making for a perfect blend with the exotic instrumentation! The album's arranged and directed by Felix Pappalardi, and has some of the nice funky rock touches of his own work – not to mention a sound that's unlike anything else we can think of! Titles include "Wala Dai", "Kley", "Besaha", "Treea Pethya", "Hala Laya", "Selim Alai", and "Isme". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | ||||||
