We Got The Rhythm
LP (Item 22853) Philadelphia International, 1976 — Condition: Used
One of the best of the later People's Choice albums, and one that does a nice job of keeping in touch with their roots as a funk group. Sure, there are a number of so-so disco tracks on here – like "Here We Go Again" and "Jam Jam Jam" – but there's also some nice funky numbers, like "We Got The Rhythm", "Cold Blooded & Downright Funky", and "Opus De Funk". Frankie Brunson's lead vocals come off sounding very nice, as does his groovy work on the keyboards – and Gamble & Huff produced the entire album, with arranging help from Brunson and Dexter Wansel. (Cover has a some light wear, a tracklist sticker, and a promo stamp.) © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
